Our one day course on Moving and Handling in the Care Home lays out the good practices which should be applied when moving and handling service users in the care/nursing home situation. With the use of DVD clips, group exercises, we aim to make you aware of the safe moving procedures as well as those which should not be used together with the basics of formulating risk assessments given a basic senario. Active imput is greatly encouraged from the candidates on the course which is run in a relaxed no pressure atmosphere.
Moving and Handling in the Nursery
As part of our safety course portfolio, we also produce a 12 hour 11/2 day course covering First Aid and Moving and Handling in the Nursery/playschool. Courses are run on site and include practical exercises in Risk Assessment writing and touring the facility to identify possible risk problems.
